Rocky Research Multi-Mount Computer
MMC1130
Rocky Research's Multi-Mount Computer (MMC) is designed as a multipurpose computer for
use in the harshest environments encountered aboard Navy ships. The MMC is designed to meet severe shock and
vibration requirements without the aid of isolation systems, and is also designed for NEMA 4 operation, featuring
mil-standard grade connectors for power, Ethernet, and USB. The VGA and Serial ports are also waterproof.
Many high-end, rugged computers, including "air breathing" systems, struggle to operate
effectively in extremely hot environments. Rocky Research's sealed MMC system, with ICE™ thermal
technology, is designed for continuous operation in environments with ambient temperatures reaching 65 C.
The MMC design allows installation orientation flexibility for bulkhead mounting to
accommodate human/machine interface, connectivity, other equipment/obstacles, and cooling. The unit can also be
fitted for Rack-Mount applications.
Utilizing state-of-the-art, commercial-off-the-shelf components providing the latest
in commercial computing capabilities, the MMC1130 features an Intel® CORE™ 2 DUO 3.0GHz processor, 4GB of RAM
(expandable to 8GB), a 32GB solid state systems drive, and a 200GB data storage drive. The unit's design
incorporates Rocky Research's ICE™ thermal management technology and expertise in the packaging
of high-density electronics.
